BY93 Laminated Cardboard Badges - £2.75
These products are ideal for customers on a tight budget, or for those who may need a badge for a limited time.

The rectangular badges are made from stiff laminated 2mm thick cardboard. They are 50x60mm or 50x50mm approx. in size and have a chrome-plated steel security pin embedded in the cardboard laminate.

The pattern is printed on good quality photographic paper sealed onto the front surface which is then protected with a clear gloss vinyl coating. The corners are slightly rounded.

These badges are not as hardwearing as the products listed below, but they will last for a year or so with careful handling. Buyers should be aware that the cardboard laminate will bend or crease if stressed, and the badges will not withstand excessive heat or soaking with water.

The patterns shown in the gallery are adapted to fit the rectangular shape. 
 

BY94 Plastic Disk Badges - £2.95
Shatter-proof white plastic badges 55mm (2ins) wide. They have a clear Perspex™face and a safety pin clasp.

The pattern is printed on premium photographic card and embedded in the plastic. The clear Perspex™face is then securely fixed on the front of the frame to make a durable and hardwearing badge.

The patterns shown in the gallery are adapted to fit in the disk. 
 

BY95 Keyrings - £2.95
25mm (1in) wide chrome steel split ring with a clear plastic fob. The fob is 55 x 40mm and 5mm thick (2 x 1¾ x ¼ins).

The pattern is printed on premium photographic card and embedded in the plastic. The same pattern appears on both sides of the fob.

The patterns shown in the gallery are adapted to fit in the rectangular fob.
 

There is no cardboard overlay, just the plastic, graphic transfer film and vinyl coating. The corners are slightly rounded to a smooth finish.

The pictures in the gallery are reduced to about 25mm (1in.) high. The badges are 75mm (3ins.) wide and 30mm (1¼ins.) high.
 

 BY97 Clip-On Name Badge - £3.50

The badge body is made from clear Perspex™plastic and measures 77 x 53 mm (3 x 2 ins).

The steel spring clip is of the crocodile type and has a strong grip.

The pattern is printed on premium photographic card and embedded in the plastic. The clear Perspex™face is then securely fixed on the front of the frame to make a durable and hardwearing badge.

The badges are approximately 55 to 65mm across (2 to 2½ins) corner-to-corner.

The plastic badges are probably a little more hardwearing than the wooden ones. But the wooden ones are more eco-friendly as they are made from sustainable forest timber, and of course they are bio-degradable.
 

BY92 Hand Made Badges on solid natural spruce wood - £4.25

The solid wood is bio-degradable and the timber stock is from sustainable forest sources.

These badges are ideal for custom designs featuring your own logo or individually prepared artwork at no additional cost. If you are choosing pictures from the Badge Gallery, they are reduced to about 38mm (1½in.) high. The natural appearance of the badge will reflect your interest in eco-friendly practices.

The pattern and legend are printed directly onto the wood surface. There is no background colour so that the natural wood grain shows through. There is no paper or cardboard overlay, just the transparent print film, natural wood and vinyl coating.

The badges are fitted with a glued on plastic/steel safety pin clasp. Size 80 x 45mm (3¼ x 1¾ ins) approx. with slightly rounded corners.

They can be supplied as badges or as ID cards with or without a slot or punched hole. They are 82mm (3¼in) wide, 54mm (2in) high and less than 1mm (in) thick. They are hard-wearing, fade-resistant, shatterproof and waterproof. Like all our products they will not withstand machine washing or prolonged soaking, but they will survive an occasional splash and may be used outdoors in wet weather.

The design is printed on photographic card. Pictures shown in the gallery are reduced to about 50mm (2ins) high to fit the badge format. The design is then sealed between two layers of the clear protective plastic, the corners rounded and edges smoothed.

The badges are fitted with a glued-on combination clasp that can be used as a clip or safety pin fastening. ID cards can be supplied with a slot for attachment by strap or ribbon, or a punched hole for use with a chain or cord.

Safety
I know that many of my products will be in contact with children so I am very particular about safety. All the finishing materials are non-toxic and flame retardant with the exception of the BY93 Laminated Cardboard badges which are non-toxic but flammable.

I have the British and International Standards for Toy Safety and follow the basic rules about construction - avoiding sharp points and edges, or anything that could be snapped off and get into a child's mouth or throat.

Badge pins are sharp, of course, but I use the "safety pin" or "security clasp" types to make sure the pointed pin is securely held in place.
